With the new batch of events planned by All Tomorrow’s Parties growing ever closer, organisers have managed to add a new batch of performances to the jam-packed bill.
Held in Butlins in Minehead ATP festivals combine a wonderful atmosphere with a bill un-matched by any other event in Britain. Defiantly left-field at a time when many festivals are edging ever closer to the mainstream, ATP represents something truly different.
This May organisers are set to unleash two events on ticket holders. ‘ATP: The Fans Strike Back’ allows ticket holders to vote on who they want to play.
So far headliners for the event range from reformed grunge group The Jesus Lizard to drone rock legends Spiritualized. Further down the bill Welsh post punk heroes Young Marble Giants will perform, while French group M83 will play a rare intimate date.
Later that month the same venue will play host to an ATP event curated by The Breeders. Joining the Deal sister will be newly added acts such as Americana legends Giant Sand, while Japanese group Melt Banana will make a rare trip to the UK.
Also on the bill are Ohio’s Heartless Bastards, and an exciting collaboration between acclaimed Stones Throw hip-hop artists MADLIB & J. ROCC.
All that musical entertainment, plus you get to stay in a chalet!
‘ATP: The Fans Strike Back’ takes place between May 8th – 10th.
‘ATP Curated By The Breeders’ takes place between May 15th – 17th.
