Gang Of Four Curate One Off Events

To preview new album

Punk-funk icons Gang Of Four are to curate two upcoming events to preview their new album.

Almost from the start, Gang Of Four were intent on de-constructing the notion of being a rock band. Introducing elements of funk and disco alongside lyrics which touched on Modern European Philosophy, the band defied conventional notions of guitar music.

Due to return with their new album ‘Content’ later this year, the band have recently been raising money for the studio process in groundbreaking fashion.

Selling off various artefacts, Gang Of Four even sold vials of their blood at auction. Now the band have confirmed details of some very special one off events.

On June 7th the group will host ‘History’s Not Made By Great Men’. A conversation featuring Gang Of Four songwriters Jon King and Andy Gill, the pair will be joined by acclaimed author John Niven.

Niven recently published his book ‘Kill Your Friends’ which was an explosive insight into the music industry. In addition to this, all three will be taking questions from the audience at the London event which takes place at 1-5 Exchange Court, Covent Garden.

Shortly after this, Gang Of Four will play an unusual show at the ICA. The band will unveil tracks from their new album ‘Content’ alongside an exhibition of artefacts relating to their career.

Expect to see rare singles, artwork, prints and… a microwave? Apparently so, with a listening post also playing a cassette recording of their first ever gig.

Gang Of Four are due to host the following events:

June
8 London 1-5 Exchange Court, Covent Garden
9 London ICA
