Cardiff based rock outfit Future Of The Left have added a new member ahead of a slew of new tour dates.
Future Of The Left rose from the ashes of McLusky, one of the best loved groups of their generation. Led by Andy Falkous, the band have shrugged off the legacy of the seminal group to carve out an uncompromising identity of their own.
Returning with second album ‘Travels With Myself And Another’ in 2008, Future Of The Left released a stunning rock statement. A seismic explosion of guitars the record sold… not a lot.
Dogged by bad luck, Future Of The Left’s promotional campaign was hampered by an early leak. Since then, the band have departed from their label and begun to work on their own terms once more.
Shrugging off the disappointment of their second album, Future Of The Left have now adopted a new member. Working as a four piece, Steven Hodson (of Oceansize and Kong) has replaced Kelson Matthias on bass duties for the time being.
Crafting new material, track titles include ‘Assisted Suicide Blues’, ‘Home Taping Is Killing Susan’, ‘The Goose That Roared’, and ‘Destroywhitchurch.com’.
Taking a break from the studio, Future Of The Left have confirmed a slew of tour dates. The band will play a handful of British shows throughout June before heading off to the continent for some festival slots.
