This year’s Fuseleeds ’09 event has announced the acts set to play this year’s event, with Leaf artists Efterklang, A Hawk And A Hacksaw and The Wedding Present’s David Gedge set to play shows in Leeds .
The events will take place over a week in April and May, and are set to showcase some of the best talent on the Leaf Label’s roster and many more acts.
One of the gigs will be a free show featuring British composer Gavin Bryars, with cult Danish folk collective Efterklang playing across the city on the same night (25th April). Efterklang will be playing their album ‘Parades’ in its entirety with the Britten Sinfonia chamber orchestra.
Gedge will also play some of his best loved songs – backed by a big band, who will be conducted by noted arranger Steve Sidwell on the 29th April.
