Set in the glorious countryside of Andalucia, Southern Spain, the Rocket Festival may prove to be the perfect start to the musical summer when it takes place between May 16th – 18th.
One of the key dance events of the festival season, the Rocket Festival is a celebration of an alternative way of living. This year’s festival will be headed up by a special performance by legendary UK DJ team Coldcut, as well as a visit by Aussie drum ‘n’ bass group Pendelum.
Further down the bill up and coming talents such as The Nextmen, Evil Nine and Zen Hussies will be appearing. The real star of the show however, if the unique atmosphere created in part by the extraordinary scenery of Andalucia. The festival is rooted in the traditional fairs of the Spanish past, and uses street theatre, circus performers and other entertainers.
A bit like a dance orientated Glastonbury with scorching sunshine (wait – that’s nothing like Glastonbury!), Rocket Festival looks set to be unmissable.
