Friendly Fires, The View For RockNess

Scottish event expands

Friendly Fires and The View are amongst the latest additions to the line up of RockNess.

Held in the Highlands, RockNess is Scotland’s wildest party. Large enough to feel like a major event, small enough to remain familiar the festival is continuing to push forward with another line up announcement.

Friendly Fires are due to perform at this summer’s RockNess, with the band still energised from the release of ‘Pala’. Continuing to tour across the country, the group will hit the festival circuit with a vengeance.

Set to appear at RockNess, Friendly Fires will be joined by Dundonian indie scamps The View. The Scottish band are old favourites at the Highland event, and will no doubt bring a raucous following.

New York kingpins The Rapture are also set to appear, while the new announcements include The Drums, Mylo and more.

At heart a dance festival, RockNess is continuing to add to its roster of vinyl munchers, Traktor punchers and Ableton pushers. On the DJ front, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe are due to appear with the Radio 1 pairing occupying prime slots.

Jacques Lu Cont is due to take part, while Pendulum offshoot Knife Party have been booked. Soma Records have confirmed a partnership with RockNess, and the Glasgow based imprint are busy booking up some dance greats.

The Baron Of Techno himself Dave Pearce will drop by, while Soma are readying a number of stellar names and guest appearances.

RockNess day tickets went on sale this morning (March 2nd).

RockNess runs between June 8th – 10th.
