Friendly Fires have added a third Brixton Academy date to their upcoming British tour.
With seemingly boundless energy, Friendly Fires have stormed through the summer season. Releasing their second album ‘PALA’ the band have thrown themselves into a dizzying series of festivals and headline shows.
Catching the band in action at T In The Park, ClashMusic left suitably impressed. Ending with samba flavoured ‘Kiss Of Life’ the band’s energy was slightly more impressive than frontman Ed MacFarlane’s dancing…
Now gearing up for a full British tour, demand for tickets has forced the band to add several new shows. Already playing two shows in London, Friendly Fires have now announced a third show at the Brixton Academy.
The 5000 capacity venue will house three nights from the St Albans group, ending on November 24th.
Alongside this, Friendly Fires have agreed to curate a party in the Brixton Academy on November 26th. Picking their favourite new groups and DJs, the band have roped in house guru Tensnake, Wild Geese and newcomers Little Dragon.
More acts are due to be announced shortly, with Friendly Fires themselves due to make a surprise appearance.
The tour opens on November 10th in Bristol, with dates continuing in Nottingham, Southampton and Newcastle. Hitting Glasgow on November 18th, the show at the Barrowlands should be a highlight before the tour climaxes with three nights at the Brixton Academy.
