Franz Ferdinand Add Extra Shows

British tour expands

Scottish indie gentry Franz Ferdinand have expanded their UK tour with the band adding a second date at the Brixton Academy.

Franz Ferdinand returned earlier this year with their long awaited album ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’. The band had spent some time working on the record, ditching sessions with slick pop team Xenomania in order to experiment with antique synths in their Glasgow studio.

Blending together electro, psychedelia and afrobeat influences Franz Ferdinand returned with something very new yet still familiar to fans. Comeback single ‘Ulysses’ was a stomping return, backed by sensational remixes from the likes of Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve.

Since then the band have been busy touring. Franz Ferdinand have been playing venues up and down the country, taking their potent pop brew across the nation. A sensational live act, the band recently announced a series of UK tour dates.

Franz Ferdinand are due to play Brixton Academy on October 23rd. A renowned music venue, the Academy recently hosted a jaw-dropping five night stint from The Specials. With tickets selling like hot cakes, the Scottish indie heroes have been forced to add another date to their stay at Brixton Academy.

The second show will be a late finish, featuring a variety of support acts. Live groups have yet to be confirmed, but DJs will come in the form of Rob Da Bank, Hot Chip, Noze, The Glimmers and more.

In addition to this Franz Ferdiand are set to play a newly announced show in Bournemouth. Taking place on October 21st, tickets for the gig are set to go on sale from 9am on Thursday July 2nd.
