Quebec Spring is coming to the UK.
The initiative aims to support and platform new artists from across the Canadian region, working in a number of languages. So, expect indie songwiting and left-field hip-hop, club focussed production and twilight soul, all inter-mingling across multiple communities.
The project is being spearheaded by key music conference M For Montreal, regularly cited as one of the main focal points for new music in North America. Alongside this, Quebec Spring is being supported by the Quebec Government Office in London and SODEC.
Special stages for Quebec Spring have been aligned with showcases around the country, launching at Wide Days and Liverpool Sound City. Alongside this, you can catch expertly curated Quebec Spring events at FOCUS Wales and Brighton’s very own new music juggernaut The Great Escape.
It all comes to a close on May 13th, coming to a venue near you. Artists supported by the project include long-time Clash favourite Gayance, Bibi Club, Choses Sauvages, Fernie, Ivytide, Jonathan Roy, Vanilla, and more.
In fact, there’s even a special playlist, composed by the M For Montreal team, to make listening life that bit easier for you.
