Tickets for Foo Fighters upcoming shows at Milton Keynes Bowl went on sale earlier this morning (November 5th).
Deciding to take a break in 2008, Foo Fighters have indulged themselves in a myriad of side projects. Dave Grohl was ear marked for a role in the reformed Led Zeppelin, before making do with becoming one third of Them Crooked Vultures.
However the call of his old cohorts proved to be too strong. Returning to the studio with Foo Fighters earlier this year, the American rockers are close to completing their long awaited new album.
Set to be released next year, the band have confirmed a pair of English shows. Taking control of the Milton Keynes Bowl, Foo Fighters will play two enormous dates with some massive support acts.
Death Cab For Cutie will perform a support slot at one show, before being replaced by Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro. Both capable of filling massive arenas, the two acts will move to one side in support of Foo Fighters.
Speaking to NME, Dave Grohl refused to divulge details about the new album. However the singer did suggest that new material is tailor made for next summer’s massive outdoor shows.
The band are linked with a headline slot at T In The Park, and Grohl did nothing to disperse these suggestions. “I want to play the album at night live in front of 70,000 people,” declared Grohl. “It’s a festival album because it fucking rocks!”
