BRIT Award winning stars Florence And The Machine are to play a one off show in Cardiff.
Florence And The Machine were unknown just over a year ago. Playing to sparse crowds in London, the group’s out-there pop was falling on deaf ears.
Two BRIT award ceremonies later and the group have been catapulted to fame. Florence And The Machine have won critical acclaim, with their debut album ‘Lungs’ finally topping the charts at the turn of the New Year.
However not everyone is a fan of the group. Brooklyn collective Gang Gang Dance have been awarded royalties to their song ‘Rabbit Heart’ after Florence And The Machine admitted borrowing sections as ‘House Jam’ as part of a homage.
Not that this has stopped the British group. Playing to ever increasing crowds, Florence And The Machine are capable of selling out arenas across the UK. Set to cut down on their live commitments to focus on new material, the group have confirmed a special one off show.
Coming as their single ‘Dog Days Are Over’ is re-issued, the Mercury nominees are due to play a concert in Cardiff.
The band are set to play the city’s Coopers Field on June 10th, with Babeshadow supplying support. Tickets for the show are set to go on sale from 9am this Thursday, the ominous date of April 1st.
