'The Soft Bulletin' re-visited

The Flaming Lips are set to re-visit ‘The Soft Bulletin’ at a special show on New Year’s Eve.

Reaching a wider audience than ever before, ‘The Soft Bulletin’ still contributes the spine to the band’s live set. The Flaming Lips continue to perform stand out tracks such as ‘Race For The Prize’ and its stunning tale of two competing scientists.

The Oklahoma band are due to perform ‘The Soft Bulletin’ in its entirety next year, playing an ATP show on July 1st. Taking place in Alexandra Palace, The Flaming Lips will re-visit the classic album.

Now the group have confirmed another retrospective show. The Flaming Lips are set to play ‘The Soft Bulletin’ in full on New Year’s Eve, with the set taking place in their hometown of Oklahoma City.

The December 31st show is now an annual tradition, following last year’s rendition of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’. Sending a message to fans via Twitter, the band added that tickets are set to go on sale “very soon”.

Meanwhile, the group are putting the finishing touches to their Halloween parade. An annual event, The Flaming Lips will dress in outlandish costumes, with fans joining them for an unusual performance.
