Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, My Bloody Valentine and more...

The first names on the line up for this year's Primavera Sound have been unveiled, with the likes of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, My Bloody Valentine and more being announced.

Each year Primavera Sound seems to steal some of the biggest, most sought after names for its line up, and each year fans wonder if it can continue. Last night (January 23rd) organisers proved that, in 2013 at least, the bar can still be raised.

A series of additions were made to the line up, containing high profile names, special comebacks and fast rising newcomers. Blur have already confirmed their involvement, with new additions including the likes of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. Elsewhere, reformed shoegaze icons My Bloody Valentine are set to take part, with work on their new album currently ongoing.

Other comebacks include The Jesus & Mary Chain, while Ben Gibbard's much loved side project The Postal Service are set to toast their 10th anniversary with a very special Primavera set. 'Searching For Sugar Man' star Rodriguez is due to take part, while Dexys - fronted by the inimitable Kevin Rowland - will also travel out to Spain.

The Breeders are set to play Primavera, with other names on the line up including cult hero Daniel Johnston, Hot Chip, The Vaccines and more.

Tickets are on sale now.

Primavera Sound runs between May 22nd - 26th.
