Brooklyn duo Fiery Furnaces have announced the addition of more dates to their upcoming UK tour.
Fiery Furnaces, comprising siblings Matthew and Eleanor Friedberger, released their eighth studio album ‘I’m Going Away’ in June this year to rave reviews, and fans are eagerly awaiting the band’s live return.
Starting off with a more traditional blues-rock sound, the New Yorkers have since blended every musical genre they have been able to get their hands on, effortlessly mixing gut bucket slide guitar with electro-pop.
Returning to the UK, Fiery Furnaces have arranged a number of tour dates. Guy Garvey, lead singer of Mercury prize winners Elbow, has personally asked the band to support the Mancunian legends at their huge homecoming show at the MEN Arena later this month.
The experimental blues-rock duo will also perform further September dates in Oxford and Cambridge before returning to UK shores in October.
Fiery Furnaces have confirmed the following dates:
September
18 Manchester MEN Arena (Supporting Elbow)
20 Oxford O2 Academy
21 Cambridge Portland Arms
October
6 Manchester Night & Day
7 Brighton Audio
8 London Cargo
9 Leeds Cockpit
10 Glasgow Nice ‘N’ Sleazys
