London’s spectacular one day event Field Day has added Erol Alkan, First Aid Kit and many more to its bill.
Set in the historic Victoria Park, just yards away from the rush of traffic, Field Day brings together an eclectic bill for a bite sized slice of musical fun.
Brought to you by some of London’s top young promoters, this year’s Field Day promises to be amongst the best to date.
Scottish post rock legends Mogwai will play a suitably noisy set, with the band capable of drawing on one of the finest back catalogues in British music. With debut album ‘Young Team’ being re-issued last year, expect a set that draws on the full force of their career.
Amongst the newly announced additions to the line up is king of the mash ups Erol Alkan. A clubland legend, Alkan’s sets combine cutting edge electro with his own special re-edits.
Now an acclaimed producer, Alkan sat behind the desk for Mystery Jets last album as well as Late Of The Pier’s technicolour debut.
Also on the bill are hotly tipped Swedes First Aid Kit, electro team Fake Blood, the other worldly pop of Final Fantasy and much, much more.
Field Day takes place in Victoria Park, London on August 1st.
