Field Day 2012 Line Up Expands

Death Grips, Mazzy Star to appear

The line up for Field Day 2012 has expanded once again with Mazzy Star and Death Grips amongst the latest additions.

Formed by a loose coalition of promoters, Field Day is rapidly evolving into one of London’s most important one day festivals. Preparations for next summer’s event are already under way, with organisers adding several new names to the line up.

Ground-breaking American collective Death Grips are set to perform at Field Day, marking a rare return to British soil. Releasing their debut LP ‘Ex-Military’ as a mixtape earlier this year, the group’s mixture of dense rhymes and near Industrial beats won widespread praise.

Due to perform at Field Day, Death Grips will be joined by some exulted company. Mazzy Star recently emerged from hiatus, with Hope Sandoval and David Roback completing work on their first album in over a decade.

The band’s new album is set to emerge next summer, with Mazzy Star preparing to jog a few memories at Field Day 2012.

Elsewhere, reclusive bass producer Zomby has been booked to appear. Notorious for his high profile no shows, debate is already commencing on whether or not the producer will actually turn up…

Rather more dependable acts such as Spector and THE MEN have also been booked, with Theme Park and Canadian producer Grimes amongst the latest names on the line up.

Field Day takes place on June 2nd. The line up is as follows:
