Scandinavian side project Fever Ray are set to play their final live dates after announcing a series of European shows.
With their icy synths and lavish stage productions The Knife have become one of Norway’s most spectacular music exports. However the duo recently split in order for singer Karin Dreijer Andersson to go solo.
Emerging under the name Fever Ray, Andersson revealed that she had lost none of The Knife’s carefully wrought cool. Swapping icy synths for motorcycle gang guitars Fever Ray were one of the year’s most talked about new arrivals.
The group’s self-titled debut album was a success, bowling over critics and winning fans who were completely unfamiliar with Andersson’s former musical life.
After a series of festival dates throughout the summer Andersson is set to return to the UK for her final shows under the name Fever Ray. Promising to lay the moniker to rest, the singer has arranged to full scale European tour.
Taking in dates in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany and more these represent the last time fans will be able to watch Karin Dreijer Andersson under the Fever Ray guise.
Before putting the band to rest, Fever Ray are set to release one last single ‘Seven’ is due to be available from October 5th, while a double disc expanded version of their debut album will be released one week later.
