Festival No. 6 Announces Chic As 2013 headliner

Plus… Tricky, Neon Neon, Lianne La Havas, Daughter and more

The ethereal Welsh fantasyland that is Festival No. 6 has just announced the latest acts to bolster its line-up.

The million record-selling Chic will be accompanied by the man who needs no introduction – Nile Rodgers. In addition, the fairytale village of Portmeirion will witness Neon Neon getting up on stage – the collaborative project from Boom Bip and Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys.

Folk and soul singer and remix artist du jour Lianne La Havas will also be taking to the festival, as well as recent 4AD signees Daughter, exciting ones to watch London Grammar, Wire, Leisure Society, Wave Machines, Melt Yourself Down, Mary Epworth, Dan Croll, Sivu, Islet and Sam Airey.

And if that wasn’t enough, lyrical virtuoso Tricky is yet another welcome addition to the exceptional roster of already announced acts that boasts James Blake, The Manic Street Preachers, Everything Everything and AlunaGeorge.

Hosted in a breathtaking location – a Mediterranean-inspired fantasy world of gorgeous views and stunning architecture, and setting for 60s cult tv show 'The Prisoner' – this festival is a one-of-a-kind gem. With a selection of speakers and artists ranging from Punk poet John Cooper Clarke and Caitlin Moran to Tracey Thorn, there’ll soon be a second wave of speaker announcements – so keep an eye out for that.
