The small but perfectly formed boutique event Festibelly has launched a new talent contest with the prize being a slot at the festival.
With the credit crunch hitting hard, many had predicted the death knell for smaller festival events. However it seems like those quirky bastions of the British music scene have just got on with things, entertaining countless thousands over the summer.
Festibelly is amongst those events clinging on, introducing all manner of new schemes to make your weekend even more special. Taking place in a secluded area of Hampshire the festival will boast some spectacular new acts – and you could be one of them!
The event is looking for new talent, and has launched the Folk Off contest in an attempt to find the next big thing. Folk Off is searching for the master of the unplugged showdown, and acoustic star whose songwriting is matched by a peerless voice.
Think you’ve got what it takes? The event are offering a slot at Festibelly alongside £300 worth of musical equipment. The champion will be voted for by fans as well as two performers from this year’s line up.
To enter just send a recording of your best acoustic based performance to: [email protected]
Festibelly is due to take place between August 29th – 30th. The event has already booked some fine talent, with folktronica star James Yuill due to return after stealing the show at last year’s show.
Joining him is fast rising London singer Micachu & The Shapes, grime pop heroes Man Like Me, everyone’s favourite reggae party Reggae Roast and much more.
With many more acts still to be announced, Festibelly looks to be one of the summer’s most unusual yet enticing events.
Festibelly takes place in Undershore, Hampshire between August 29th – 30th.
