F*cked Up To Tour With Arcade Fire

On forthcoming European shows

Fucked Up are set to join fellow Canadians Arcade Fire on their forthcoming European tour.

Canadian music is on a high right now. The Northern nation has produced a slew of stunning acts, with this year alone bringing celebrates albums from Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire and Caribou.

But the country’s real strength lies in its diversity. Hardcore group Fucked Up are ruthlessly DIY, releasing a series of singles this year to complete their ambitious Chinese Zodiac series.

‘Year Of The Ox’ continues the trend, featuring thirteen minutes of blistering yet mind expanding punk rock. Confirming a series of British dates, the band have now been added to the bill for Arcade Fire’s forthcoming European tour.

A potentially odd coupling, the two have a surprising amount in common. A staunch commitment to their indie label home, a fondness for obscure lyrical subject matter and of course a kick ass live show.

The two acts are set to tour around Europe later this year, helping to expose Fucked Up to thousands of potential fans. The dates open in Portugal on November 18th, before crossing Spain, France and Germany.

Finishing in Desseldorf on November 29th the shows will include some of the largest live shows Fucked Up have ever performed.

The support dates follow on from a joint tour with Against Me. The dates cross the whole of the UK, with a Glasgow show confirmed for the QMU on October 27th.

The tour finishes on November 3rd in London’s Electric Ballroom, with tickets for the shows on sale now.
