Fans Bombard Jackson Website

Ticket rush begins

The ticket rush for Michael Jackson’s residency at the O2 Arena has begun with fans bombarding his website.

In a special announcement at the O2 Arena yesterday (March 5th) the singer announced a ten night residency at the arena. Almost immediately afterwards the clamour for tickets began, with fans rushing to claim briefs.

Pre-sale for tickets begins on Wednesday (March 11th) but fans are already attempting to find information on where to buy briefs.

In the rush to get ahead of other fans Jackson’s official website has been brought to a standstill. Receiving more than 16,000 visits per second many users have been left complaining that they cannot enter their details, or do not receive a confirmation email.

A spokesperson for AEG Live told the Telegraph: “The site is receiving 16,000 requests per second, so demand is extremely high, phenomenal is an understatement.”

In his announcement Michael Jackson also hinted that this could be his last performance in London. The event could prove to be an historic pop event, with Jackson needing an almighty spark to re-start his career.

Tickets for Michael Jackson’s residency at the O2 Arena go on general sale on March 13th. Fans can also register for tickets by sending a text to 81707.
