X Factor move over – an exciting alternative to the usual talent show routine has been announced with the grand prize of a slot at Alive, one of Europe’s biggest music festivals.
New bands can secure a slot on a bill that also includes such legends as Rage Against The Machine, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. The festival is set in gorgeous Portugal and attracts over 100,000 making this a once in a lifetime chance of exposure for the lucky band.
Running from May 29th to June 23rd, voting will commence on the soundtribes.com website, with four lucky fans winning VIP passes to the event. Bands who wish to enter should create a profile on soundtribes.com, upload some music, and fans will vote for their favourites.
The competition closes on June 23rd.
Alive Festival takes place in Lisbon, Portugal on July 10th.
