RockNess have confirmed appearances from Example, Basement Jaxx and Madness at this summer's festival.
Located in a beautiful valley by the banks of a historic loch, RockNess is unlike any other British festival. Returning for another instalment, organisers announced the first names on the 2013 line up this afternoon (January 30th).
Example is set to headline the Scottish event. Returning to RockNess, the rapper cited a previous set at the Highland event as major turning point for his career. “Obviously, you know how much I love Scottish crowds" he told the Daily Record. "When 'Changed The Way You Kissed Me' came out, I was on the main stage at RockNess before Magnetic Man and Chemical Brothers. That was a big moment for me."
Elsewhere, Basement Jaxx are set to perform at RockNess while the Nutty Boys themselves Madness will also take part. The Vaccines are planning to travel North to the Scottish festival, with Mercury nominees The Maccabees also preparing themselves for the summer event.
Ben Howard will take his acoustic to Dores, with the likes of Jessie Ware, seminal indie types Camera Obscura and Newton Faulkner all named on the bill.
Tickets are on sale now.
RockNess takes place between June 7th – 9th.
