Everything Everything are set to host a hometown show in Manchester alongside some special guests.
When Everything Everything first emerged, the band were joined by a host of new talent from Manchester. Leading to a flurry of articles about ‘the Second Coming’ of the Northern metropolis, press attention seems to have waned.
Regardless, the city is still churning out some incredible music. Everything Everything have evolved in a sizzling live act, with their latest tour taking them across the country to the continent and beyond.
Returning home, Everything Everything have been asked to take part in the Manchester International Festival. Already grabbing headlines due to the involvement of a certain Icelandic singer, the festival have now asked Everything Everything to head up a special show.
The latest in the ‘True Faith’ series, the band will be joined by a hand picked support bill. Reflecting the continually shifting Manchester music scene, the bill is a deeply eclectic cross section.
Dubstep influenced producer xxxy is due to take part, while Egyptian Hip Hop are also set to play live. Still teenagers, Egyptian Hip Hop recorded their last EP with Glaswegian producer Hudson Mohawke.
The bill is completed by newcomers Plank! and each artist has agreed to play a short set including material specifically written, arranged, or performed for the Festival.
The one off show takes place in the festival’s temporary home of the Pavilion Theatre on Albert Square. Right in the heart of Manchester, the theatre will play host to a number of shows throughout the festival.
Everything Everything are not set to play live, but will be on hand to introduce each act. The band will then perform at the free after party, playing some of their favourite cuts in an exclusive DJ set.
