Evan Dando To Play London

Live show from Lemonheads leader

Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando is set to play a rare UK show, when he headlines The Macbeth in London on May 13th.

The Boston-born songwriter remains the only original member of the band, who began writing solo material in 2000 and released his last album ‘Baby, I’m Bored’ in 2003.

Having battled drug addiction and bouts of erratic behaviour through his career, Dando penned some of the 90’s’ finest hits from across the pond and remains a hugely influential songwriter.

Though Dando’s talents are evident on much of their material (see cult favourite ‘Shame About Ray’ or ‘Best Of: The Atlantic Years’), The Lemonheads’ back catalogue is famously greeted with mixed views from fans, with Dando’s songwriting flitting between bewildering noise-assaults and 60’s indebted pop classics.

Dando’s first album since 2003 will be released this summer (23rd June), and will be a collection of cover versions. ‘Varshons’ is set to feature guest appearances from Hollywood actress Liv Tyler and Kate Moss.

The singer will now play a super-intimate show at the Macbeth in the coming weeks, tickets available below.
