EMA is set to return to Britain for a number of live appearances kicking off in September.
Real name Erika M Anderson, EMA was raised in South Dakota but came of age in California. The singer worked with a number of bands, before deciding to cut loose and work on her own material.
A blistering mixture of raw, ragged songwriting and all out noise EMA’s debut album ‘Past Life Martyred Saints’ was a superb introduction. Mean, moody and impossible to resist the record gained critical plaudits and became a cult success.
Live shows earlier this year included a hectic day at the Great Escape in which EMA played three different sets. The singer returned to the United States, where she is bringing ‘Past Life Martyred Saints’ to life onstage.

Now EMA is planning to return to the UK to play a series of headline dates. Opening on September 13th in Brighton, the tour dates continue with shows in London, Bristol and Manchester.
