British newcomer Ellie Goulding has been added to the line up of Polish festival Open’er.
One of the fastest growing festivals in Europe, Poland’s Open’er combines a dramatic setting with a superb line up. Foremost among a new breed of Eastern European events, the festival will return this summer with a jam packed bill.
Amongst the acts already confirmed for Open’er are Seattle giants Pearl Jam, Groove Armada and Kasabian. Trip hop gurus Massive Attack will bring their live show to the festival, while Hot Chip, Klaxons and more are also set to perform.
Continually announcing new additions, the organisers of Open’er have confirmed a series of top acts. British newcomer Ellie Goulding is among the latest names added to the bill, with the singer set to perform at the Polish event.
Since winning the ‘Critics Choice’ award at the BRITs this year, Ellie Goulding’s star has risen dramatically. Her debut album hit the Top Ten while single ‘Starry Eyes’ became a radio favourite.
Added to the bill for Open’er the singer joins a line up peppered with star names. Ellie Goulding seemed excited by the news, telling organisers: “I’m really looking forward to playing at Heineken Open’er Festival; especially as my favourite band Pearl Jam are playing… they are sick!”
With research placing Open’er as one of the cheapest festivals in Europe, this summer will see countless music fans fly out to Poland from Britain. Lasting for four days, it seems that Open’er is ready to join the inner circle of big name music events.
Open’er takes place between July 1st – 4th.
