The BBC Electric Proms concert series has expanded its line up yet again with Brit rockers Roazorlight set to play alongside veteran songwriter Burt Bacharach.
The concerts have this year expanded into the city of Liverpool – the current European Capital Of Culture. This year’s series of shows will boast a number of star performers including Johnny Borrell’s Razorlight mob, and a very special show by Burt Bacharach at London’s historic Roundhouse venue. Performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra, this concert promises to be something very special indeed as legendary songwriter Bacharach performs his hits in this intimate venue. The author of such classics as “Walk On By” and “My Little Red Book” Bacharach is responsible for some of the greatest ever pop songs.
The concerts often show a love for collaboration, and this year will be no different. Bee Gees founder Robin Gibb will collaborate with Aussie chart sensation Sam Sparro at the London Roundhouse, while a joint concert has been announced between Adele, Beth Rowley and Jamie Cullum.
Also set to appear at the BBC Electric Proms are electro-pop wonders Goldfrapp and Maddy Prior, though details of their shows have yet to be announced.
BBC Electric Proms are set to take place in venues across London and Liverpool, with a number of performers still to be announced.
