The latest line up details for Croatian festival Electric Elephant have been announced plenty for music fans to gorge on.
The resurgent economy in Central Europe has opened up a number of regions to tourists, investors and – most importantly of all – to music fans. The likes of EXIT have put Serbia on the map, while nearby Croatia is not far behind.
Founded just three years ago, Electric Elephant has gathered an imposing reputation. Returning this summer, the event takes place outside of Petrcane an historic region of the former Communist state.
Opening on August 27th the three day event will have plenty of familiar faces. Brought to you by the team behind legendary Manchester night Electric Chair, the festival will feature a special set from Fuck Buttons.
The Brighton duo released ‘Tarot Sport’ last year which went on to be named in Clash Magazine’s Top Ten albums of 2009. A stunning set, it featured more new ideas than a quantum physics textbook.
Live, the band are an exhilarating experience with their freeform electronica taking the audience into unexpected places.
Joining them will be the likes of Scotland’s Phantom Band while newcomers such as Soundstream and Dundonian beatsmith Architeq are also due to appear.
Meanwhile the likes of Jesca Hoop, Hannah Peel and more are planning their appearance. DJ kingpin Andrew Weatherall is scheduled to drop by Electric Elephant while The Juan MacLean will bring the sound of DFA.
Electric Elephant takes place between August 27th – 29th.
