Manchester based dance rock newcomers Egyptian Hip Hop have confirmed a host of tour dates.
As far a recommendations go, being produced by one of your heroes while still in your teens must be up there. With Late Of The Pier singer Samuel Dust seizing control of the mixing desk for their debut single, Egyptian Hip Hop must have known that they were on to something.
Playing a handful of startling live shows, the band found themselves in the middle of a blaze of media hype. Still at college, Egyptian Hip Hop were lauded as standing at the forefront of a new generation of Manchester acts.
With a war breaking out over their signature, the group are still planning their next move. Speaking to ClashMusic Egyptian Hip Hop revealed that they are to take part in a song swap with Glasgow beatsmith Hudson Mohawke.
The two acts are to play a one off show as part of Egyptian Hip Hop’s new tour itinerary. Opening on March 19th in Edinburgh’s hip hang out Sneaky Pete’s the band will take off around the country.
Before then, however, Egyptian Hip Hop have premiered the video to their new single ‘Wild Human Child’. Directed by Ivan Ogilvie it is typically barmy, featuring the band getting into all sorts of scrapes.
