Efterklang have rarely been as busy.
Since their Last Concert, the Danish trio have launched new group Liima, a radio station and their own festival.
Now Efterklang have outlined plans for a new opera. 'LEAVES – The Colour Of Falling' was co-composed with Karsten Fundal, and will air this summer in a Cold War bunker underneath Copenhagen's municipal hospital.
Performed daily, 'LEAVES – The Colour Of Falling' finds Efterklang working alongside eight classically trained musicians.
Commissioned for the Copenhagen Opera Festival, 'LEAVES – The Colour Of Falling' will premiere on July 26th with a further thirteen shows to follow before closing on August 8th. Each performance will be limited to 60 tickets.
