Edwyn Collins has confirmed plans to head back out on the road in April 2013.
If you didn't know where to look, you could be forgiven for assuming that Edwyn Collins has been lying low over the past 12 months. Dig a little deeper, though, and you'll find an artist who is running his own label, producing countless new acts and working on solo material.
Alongside, y'know, real life stuff.
Recently honoured at this year’s AIM Awards where he received the ‘Outstanding Contribution To Music’ award, Edwyn Collins is now planning his next solo album. Due for release in 2013, 'Understated' is the songwriter's first full length since 2010's 'Losing Sleep'.
In addition to this, Edwyn Collins has confirmed plans for a lengthy tour. Opening in Leeds on April 12th, the tour hits London on April 24th for a show at historic venue the Union Chapel. Ending in Brighton on April 25th, tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am this Friday (November 23rd).
