Drake brought out Skepta and Giggs for "a London party" at the O2 Arena last night (March 20th).
When the rapper announced a total of eight nights at the cavernous London venue earlier this year some raised eyebrows at his ambition.
However tickets sold out within hours, and it seemed that the Boy Meets World tour was on course to hit new heights.
Drake returned to the O2 Arena for his final show at the venue last night (March 20th) and it promised to be an epic occasion.
And so it proved. In a stripped down first act Drake – resplendent in Stone Island – continually exhorted the crowd, confidence flooding through the rapper following the surprise release of 'More Life'.
Jorja Smith was permitted the spotlight during the changeover, singing solo to a mere 17,000 people – all in a night's work for the newcomer.
Drake opened the second act with a flurry of mega-hits, before bringing out a few 'More Songs' collaborators.
Promising the crowd "a London party" the rapper introduced Giggs for 'Whippin' Excursion' before introducing BBK lynchpin Skepta.
Given the ultimate compliment Drake even stood to one side for Skepta, allowing him room to 'Shutdown' the entire O2 Arena with his seismic grime cut.
Trey Songz kept the energy flowing, before the crowd erupted for a surprise slot from Nicki Minaj – who said she was "so fucking proud" of the rapper for "changing the game" with 'More Life'.
A stunning show, to end a run of eight stunning shows. The question is: where now?
