Dr Dog Confirm European Tour

With sixth album on the horizon

Philadelphia based psych-rockers Dr Dog have confirmed a new European tour ahead of their sixth studio album.

Begun as a side project, Dr Dog soon took on a life of its own. Lead by Scott McMicken and Toby Leaman the pair found the group’s relaxed atmosphere to be conducive to their songwriting, sparking a unique career.

Releasing ‘Fate’ in 2008 the band found renewed success. Dr Dog broke into the Billboard charts, achieving rave reviews in the process.

The stripped down indie rock of their earlier years had made way for something more timeless. Influenced by the Beach Boys and the lysergic thrills of The Grateful Dead, Dr Dog’s live shows are something to behold.

Complete with camaraderie that can only come from a decade on the road, Dr Dog mix assured songwriting with blazing guitar riffs.

Currently putting the finishing touches on their sixth album, Dr Dog are to release ‘Shame, Shame’ on April 5th. Recorded – for the first time – in a professional studio, producer Rob Schnapf has added something different to their sound.

Openly autobiographical, ‘Shame, Shame’ peels back the layers of the past to reveal the roots of Dr Dog’s sound.

Due for release on Anti Records, ‘Shame, Shame’ is eagerly anticipated by fans. Now Dr Dog have added to this by confirming a European tour.

Opening in Germany on May 23rd Dr Dog have confirmed just one British tour date, although their festival plans have yet to be decided.

Dr Dog are due to play the following shows:

May
23 Germany Magnet Berlin
24 Germany Blue Shell Koln
25 Netherlands Paradiso Amsterdam
26 London Tabernacle
27 Paris Nouveau Casino
29 Barcelona Primavera Sound
