Download Festival have confirmed headline sets from Green Day, Sleep Token, and KoRn.
The festival hosted a special Metal Gala overnight, with a number of guests from the alt world assembling for the first Download 2025 announcement.
Taking place between June 13th – 15th, the festival is set to welcome three first-time headliners: Green Day, Sleep Token, and KoRn.
Remarkably, neither of these groups have headlined Download previously. Green Day are punk rock royalty, a group whose career moves from DIY venues to stadiums. Enigmatic metal group Sleep Token are one of the biggest, and most respected groups in their sphere, while KoRn practically wrote the nu-metal rulebook.
Elsewhere, you can watch geek rock kingpins Weezer, the mighty Frank Carter / Sex Pistols crossover, Jimmy Eat World, Eagles Of Death Metal, The Darkness, Loathe, and Spiritbox.
The line-up announce was unveiled via a special short film, hosted by British acting legend Paddy Considine.
Download Festival’s Andy Copping says: “Following on from last year’s sold out 21st edition, Download’s legacy not only includes the incredible artists who have performed at the hallowed grounds over the years, but also our unrivalled community, safe and warm atmosphere, and fantastic afterhours entertainment at District X, with something for truly everyone.”
