Death Grips are set to play London's Forum venue on May 2nd.
In case you didn't notice, Death Grips breezed into London last week. Accompanied by The Bug, the show at historic venue KOKO shook the building to its core with both acts giving all they've got. It was, simply, Quite The Thing.
Now ATP have stepped in to announce another show from Death Grips, this time taking place at the Forum on May 2nd. Tickets are on sale now.
With little else to report, now would be a great time to point fans towards our Death Grips cover feature. Clash pitched the band against Mike Diver, who managed to emerge unscathed clutching more than a few pearls of wisdom – such as this quote from Zach Hill…
“We’re unfamiliar for some fans of rap because mainstream rap tends to concern itself with literal things. We’re coming to this beat-based music with a sound that’s almost more punk-orientated. Stefan’s words have total meaning behind them – but for us it’s as much about who is saying them, and how they’re doing so, as much as the explicit message. The words work as symbols, the emotion behind them really important, as is the musical foundation around them. The whole thing is a single vehicle – we make things we feel, and don’t make things we don’t feel.”
