Dead Weather Secret Show

No fans allowed, sadly

Jack White’s much talked about new project The Dead Weather are set to play an unusual secret show – with no fans allowed.

The Dead Weather is a unique collaboration between some of indie rock’s finest talents. Bringing together musical minds from The White Stripes, The Kills, The Greenhornes and Queens Of The Stone Age the group have become possibly the most talked about of the year so far.

The band debuted at a secret show in Nashville. Taking place before an invited audience in the offices of Jack White’s Third Man label, amongst the crowd of onlookers were White Stripes drummer Meg White.

Since then The Dead Weather have played a New York show and released a debut single. Fierce and electro driven, the single came complete with a Gary Numan track on the B-side giving an indication of the group’s plans.

Debut album ‘Horehound’ is already in the can, with The Dead Weather set to embark on a world tour later this year.

The Dead Weather have announced plans for an extremely unusual show in London. The exclusive live event takes place as part of the ‘From The Basement’ series of shows, and will take place at a secret location.

Held in a bunker, no fans are invited to the show. However footage from the gig will be streamed live HERE and via Nokia N97 phones. In addition to this, the show will be streamed into record stores in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Brighton.

The secret show will serve as a warm up for The Dead Weather’s British debut proper at London’s Kentish Town Forum on June 24th.

The news comes as The Dead Weather prepare to make their television debut. The band are set to perform on ‘Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien’, shortly before kicking off their world tour.

The Dead Weather are set to release ‘Horehound’ on July 13th.
