One of the most talked about groups on the planet The Dead Weather have confirmed an intimate club show in London.
The Dead Weather are yet another slice of musical genius from the brain of Jack White. The Detroit musician is one of the most influential musicians of the past decade, forming numerous groups who have cut a swathe through the American music scene.
As guitarist with The Go the Detroit musician earned a record deal with Sub Pop, before going solo. Forming The White Stripes with his then-wife Meg, the guitarist kept up his extra-curricular activities by producing the seminal compilation ‘Sympathetic Sounds Of Detroit’.
Once The White Stripes hit world fame it was expected that the guitarist would slow down. However after launching his own label, Jack White unveiled The Raconteurs who have released two celebrated albums to date.
Earlier this year Jack White stunned fans with news of a brand new act. The Dead Weather contain members of The Kills, The Greenhornes and Queens Of The Stone Age, with the group releasing their debut single earlier this year.
With debut album ‘Horehound’ already in the can, The Dead Weather are without doubt one of the hottest bands on the planet. The band have played a handful of shows in the United States, unveiling new material in Los Angeles recently.
The Dead Weather are due to play a secret show tonight (June 22nd) in London. The band will perform in a bunker with no fans present, with footage from the show being streamed online.
The show is due to begin at 9pm, and is part of producer Nigel Godrich’s ongoing ‘From The Basement’ sessions. To watch the footage click HERE!
In addition to this, The Dead Weather have announced details of an intimate club show in London’s Boston Music Rooms. Taking place on June 23rd, tickets for the show will be limited to just two per person.
The Dead Weather will release their debut album ‘Horehound’ on July 13th. The band have confirmed the following intimate show:
