Acclaimed festival The Big Chill has named the first acts on its bill for 2009 with Talking Heads legend David Byrne due to head a strong line up.
Celebrating its 15th birthday, The Big Chill is set to return for what promises to be one of its best ever events.
A living legend in modern music, David Byrne will perform material from his Talking Heads days and beyond. An arresting live performer, he is one of the most influential performers working today.
Other acts confirmed for the Eastnor event are epic space rockers Spiritualized, Lamb, and Adrian Sherwood’s soundsystem Dub Syndicate.
Arizona based band Calexico will also perform, with the Mexican flavoured group set to be joined by Gong, Steve Hillage and many more.
On the DJ front, The Big Chill faces a Scottish invasion with legendary Glasgow nightspot The Sub Club taking over a tent, before London hipsters Horse Meat Disco take charge.
The Big Chill takes place between August 7th – 9th.
