Scottish puzzle-pop heroes Dananananaykroyd are set to cap the release of triumphant debut ‘Hey Everyone’ and an eternity spent on the road by playing a series of live dates throughout May.
After gaining a reputation as one of the best live bands in the UK, the group have been taking their post-punk party to what seems like every city in the land, even dropping by to play the Clash Party at this year’s SXSW festival.
After signing to Best Before Records, Dananan’s debut ‘Hey Everyone’ captured the hearts and punctured the ears of everyone whose stumbled across it (Clash Music review). A blend of fiery pop hooks and towering, jerk-punk rhythms thanks to their deployment of two drummers, it only confirmed what their explosive early shows had signaled.
The sextet will now embark on a run of live dates next month, which will also see them play with fellow Glasgow outift The Twilight Sad in London, Vivian Girls in Leeds and The Mae Shi in Glasgow as part of the upcoming Stag and Dagger Festival.
