Rockabilly hero Dan Sartain has added a series of UK tour dates in anticipation of his new album ‘Dan Sartain Lives’.
Try as you might, it’s difficult to escape the visceral thrill of primal rock ‘n’ roll. Go and put an early Chuck Berry single on – pretty soon you’ll find yourself dancing across the living room like its 1955 all over again.
Dan Sartain knows all about this. Inspired by Sun Records yet with a deeply modern viewpoint, his material is frequently stark yet always thrills.
Returning with his new album ‘Dan Sartain Lives’ the singer has been joined by a motley crew of rock ‘n’ rollers. Liam Watson takes control in the studio, with his array of vintage equipment being put to good use.
Also dropping by Watson’s Toerag Studios are the likes of Ed Turner, who has previously worked with Holly Golightly, Fabienne Delsol, Pete Molinari and more.
Set to drop this May, ‘Dan Sartain Lives’ is due to be preceded by the single ‘Atheist Funeral’ on May 10th. A take-no-prisoner slice of brutal rockabilly, the track is an apt introduction to the twilight world of Dan Sartain.
In addition to this Dan Sartain is set to play a series of dates across Britain and Ireland. Opening on May 18th in Brighton, the tour zips across the country at a breakneck speed.
Taking in dates at the Dot To Dot festival, Dan Sartain will close the tour on June 2nd in London’s Garage venue.
