Hip hop legends Cypress Hill have been added to the line up for this year’s Open’er festival.
Cypress Hill are a groundbreaking hip hop group. Sure, the band’s frenetic mid 90s form may be behind them but for sheer entertainment value, the group’s back catalogue can stand alongside any in rap.
The first Latino group to reach prominence in the hip hop scene, Cypress Hill blended this with a love of weed. Lots and lots of weed.
Stoner rap supremos, the group recently returned with their new album and are set to perform at this summer’s Open’er. One of the biggest festivals in Eastern Europe, the Polish event has bagged a host of stunning headliners.
In addition to Cypress Hill, this year’s Open’er festival will boast performances from Pearl Jam and more.
Studio 54 diva Grace Jones is set to bring her spectacular live show to the Polish event, after her recently hugely successful British shows. Featuring dramatic lighting, outlandish costumes and her rich back catalogue a Grace Jones live show is simply unforgettable.
Also set to perform are Bristol trip hop dons Massive Attack, while Belgian beat boffins 2ManyDJs are also planning to drop by. Meanwhile newcomers such as Ellie Goulding are due to perform, while Kings Of Convenience will showcase their new album.
British festival kingpins Groove Armada are set to travel to Poland for Open’er, fresh from the success of their annual Lovebox Weekender.
Open’er takes place between July 1st – 4th.
