Following five days mega packed with shows and presentations, Clash's hook up with Cutler & Gross for an end of Fashion Week party was a welcome opportunity for attendees to enjoy a glass of Prosecco or a bottle of beer while indulging in some four eyed fancies. Decked out with Iggy Azalea fronted magazines, the walls smothered in portraits of glasses-wearing musicians and the like, the brand's Knightsbridge store quickly filled up in anticipation of the evening's entertainment from Mr. Adam Bainbridge, more commonly known as Kindness.
Arriving after half eight and dressed in a black and turquoise cap, indigo denim shirt and black jeans, Bainbridge took to the decks playing a mixture of 12" vinyl and CDs. The first part of his set seemed to note his influences, echoing sounds similar to those that audiences have come to expect from a Kindness record, while the energetic let's-all-get-up-and-go-crazy attitude of his live set was replaced by a more focused demeanour.
The latter part of his two-hour disc jockey role saw Frank Ocean's 'Thinking About You' saddle up beside CANT's 'The Edge' and Chicago's 'If You Leave Me Now', with a helping of Paul Simon too. Without the bright lights of the delicate room and with a later curfew, dancing may well have ensued. As it was the tunes played support to surely one of Knightsbridge Green's more lively nights. Oh, and did we mention the bottle opener doing the rounds was a red and blue painted phallus?
