Cults have confirmed plans to return to the UK for a series of live shows this November.
Formed by Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion, Cults started making waves last year. Pushed to prominence on the back of a single mp3, their dysfunctional dream pop seemed to be fuelled by a chemical imbalance.
A full length album followed, with Cults playing a handful of British shows. Recently flying out to Europe for a headline tour, ClashMusic caught up with the band backstage at a show in Glasgow.
Brian Oblivion revealed that the band were showing no signs of fatigue, and had actually just completed a collaboration with Freddie Gibbs.
Aside from working with hip hop royalty, Cults are also preparing for a new British tour. Just announced, the November dates include a handful of headline shows spread across the country.
Opening in London, Cults will play XOYO on November 15th before hitting Bristol and Nottingham. Alas, no Scottish dates this time round although the band are set to play Manchester’s Ruby Lounge on November 19th.
With the Christmas decorations beginning to be unfurled at supermarkets across the land, fans might like to know about Cults’ festive plans. Booked to take part in the Nightmare Before Christmas, the band will perform at the Butlins Holiday Centre at part of ATP’s annual shindig.
Curators include Caribou, Les Savy Fav and Battles with all three groups set to perform at the weekend long event.
Cults are set to play the following shows:
November
15 London XOYO
17 Bristol Thekla
18 Nottingham Bodega Social
19 Manchester Ruby Lounge
December
9 Minehead Nightmare Before Christmas
