Coldplay have confirmed plans for a trio of British arena shows this December.
Coldplay are back. Well, almost. The countdown has begun in earnest for the release of their new album – the incongruously titled ‘Mylo Xyloto’ – with the band toasting the success of their new single.
Stripped from the album, ‘Paradise’ flew up the charts upon its release last week. Now Coldplay have confirmed news of a short British tour – their first headline dates in their homeland since 2009.
The band stormed the festival season, with 6Music listeners voting them the top headline act of 2011 after performances at Glastonbury and T In The Park.
Now Coldplay are set to play three British headline shows in December. Opening with a concert in Glasgow’s SECC on December 3rd, the dates continue with shows in Manchester’s MEN Arena and London.
Ending with a show at the O2 Arena on December 9th, the shows represent the first British headline tour from Coldplay in two years. Tickets for the dates go on sale this Friday (September 23rd) from 9.30am.
Demand will be huge, so act quick. To make up for the lack of information here’s the ‘Paradise’ video – full tour details below the jump…
