Tickets for Coldplay’s 2012 tour went on sale at 9am this morning (November 18th).
You might be able to pronounce it, but Coldplay’s new album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ has become one of the year’s biggest releases. Smashing into the charts at number one, the release consolidated the band’s position as one of the biggest groups on the planet.
Set to launch a typically enormous tour next year, the band have made a few one off appearances of late. Appearing in a Saturday Night Live skit, Coldplay were seen crying their eyes out to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’.
Playing a number of one off shows, Coldplay gradually introduced material from their new album into their live set. Headlining T In The Park, the band opened with fireworks and a rendition of ‘Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall’.
Announcing a short burst of British tour dates, Coldplay will head back out on the road next Spring. The band will open the shows in Coventry with an appearance at the Ricoh Arena on May 29th.
Following this, Coldplay will play back to back concerts in London. Taking place at the Emirates Stadium, the band are set to appear at the home of Arsenal FC in front of countless thousand fans.
Finishing with a performance in Manchester, the band will appear at the Etihad Stadium on June 9th.
