Clash Present New Summer Show

Starring The Nextmen, Whitey and more

Clash Magazine and Oakley are set to make this summer a little bit hotter with their new night Sunglasses At Night.

Named after one of the most iconic electroclash tracks imaginable, Sunglasses At Night is set to showcase a new wave of dance talent emerging from London. With the economy slowing down faster than an out of shape mugger kids just want to dress up and dance, so guess what? We’re going to let them.

Clash and Oakley are set to team up for a night of debauchery spread across two floors in The Queen Of Hoxton. One of London’s hottest new venues it is set to take charge of a host of fantastic new acts.

The Nextmen consist of Dom Search and Brad Baloo, two beat merchants who came of age on the London club scene. Entranced by hip hop beats the duo began making their own, and quickly gained a rabid following.

Prolific remixers, the pair have an arsenal of quality tunes ready up their sleeves. Signing with Universal last year The Nextmen are currently working on their fourth album but the duo are set to take time out to perform a typically breakneck DJ set.

Joining The Nextmen party crew is East London sensation Whitey. Mixing up indie with electro, the producer is due to let his second album ‘Stay On The Outside’ drop imminently. Heading back to Hoxton, you can expect some surprises in a jaw dropping DJ set.

Also set to perform is the notorious Trailer Trash resident Hannah Holland, who will be joined by fresh-faced newcomers Greco Roman Soundsystem. Don’t let their age fool you – these guys are veterans of the Warehouse rave scene and have built their reputation the hard way.

New York’s indie upstarts The Phenomenal Handclap Band are – erm – phenomenal. Check out THIS – an exclusive video – to see what we mean. Performing live, the band will be joined by Coco Elektrik and Youves in foregoing turntables for things with strings.

With a host of other performers and a number of surprises yet to be confirmed, Sunglasses At Night is a great way to put all those Wimbledon disappointments behind you. Oh, and don’t forget to wear your sunglasses!

Clash and Oakley present Sunglasses At Night is due to take place in London’s The Queen Of Hoxton on Saturday July 18th.
