Clash / Ben Sherman Head To SXSW

With a few bands in tow...

Clash and Ben Sherman are flying out to SXSW for a special one off show.

Held in Austin, Texas SXSW is perhaps the most important music showcase event on the planet. Launching countless careers, the event brings together new talent and old heads, unknown hopefuls and legendary acts.

Clash and Ben Sherman are flying out right now in order to host a one off event. The Plectrum Sessions take place on March 15th, with the British Embassy in Austin acting as the proud host for the afternoon.

Fast rising London newcomers Zulu Winter open the stage at 3pm, sharing material from their upcoming debut album ‘Language’. Having spent the past year or so blitzing venues around the UK, the band are more than ready hit SXSW.

Breton are one of the UK’s most unique bands, with their material sitting midway between left field indie and bass music. Paying careful attention to their video output, the band’s live shows are a stunning mixture of forward thinking art and bass weight.

Old friends of Clash, Slow Club will hit the Plectrum Sessions at 4.40pm. Returning with their rather more mature second album last year, Charles & Rebecca remain a fun, infectious live experience.

Headliners Clock Opera have been creating headlines for the past 12 months with their blistering brand of electro-pop. Infused with rock’s sense of urgency, debut album ‘Ways To Forget’ drops on April 9th.

The running order is as follows:

3.00pm Zulu Winter
3.50pm Breton
4.40pm Slow Club
5.30pm Clock Opera

Ben Sherman are also working on a number of acoustic performances throughout SXSW – expect to see those videos surface HERE soon after.
