Alt-pop maverick Childe will host a special album launch event in London next week.
The path to his nine-track debut album ‘Stoned & Supremely Confident’ has been fraught with challenges, but Childe has simply used this to his advantage. An artist who speaks from the heart, a run of singles won the affections of fans, before he shared the full, unadulterated album to widespread acclaim.
Out now, ‘Stoned & Supremely Confident’ is wonderfully incisive, driven forwards by a spirit in motion. Childe breaks boundaries at will, his free-flowing creativity overhauling pop from the vantage point of a truly modern voice.
Set to play London’s Waiting Room on October 19th – an ultra-intimate headline show – he’s also lined up a limited edition digital pressing, with a portion of the proceeds going to an ADHD charity.
But that’s not all. On September 18th Childe will host a very special album launch party at the Forge in London’s Lower Third venue. An area racked with history – it’s close to Tin Pan Alley, after all – it’s the perfect place to soak up his timeless music.
The full event will be streamed online, with only a select batch of lucky fans in attendance. Childe will walk you through his luxuriant debut album, in conversation with Clash editor Robin Murray.
