Foul mouthed American star Cee-Lo Green has confirmed details of a one off London show.
Cee-Lo Green has an instantly recognisable voice. Taking lead vocals on the epochal Gnarls Barkley hit single ‘Crazy’ the singer has gone on to craft some stunning material under his own name.
Now it seems that Cee-Lo Green has done it again. The video to the singer’s new track ‘F*ck You’ has achieved astonishing view figures in just a short time, gaining 1 million plays in only two days.
Released onto the internet, the video for ‘F*ck You’ is already at number one on Hype Machine and also occupies five other positions on the Top 40. Currently the most watched music video in Britain, the official release will surely crack the charts.
Set to be a hit single, ‘F*ck You’ will be given a radio friendly clean up before its official release. The track is taken from Cee-Lo Green’s new album ‘The Lady Killer’ which is due to hit the shops on November 1st.
The album has been kept under lock and key, although a soulful take on ‘No One’s Gonna Love You’ by Band Of Horses has been released.
The hype surrounding the album is reaching fever pitch, with Cee-Lo Green now confirming an intimate London show. Set to take place on September 27th, the track will be the only gig Green will perform on British soil in 2010.
The vocalist is due to perform at Cargo on September 27th, fresh from a number of shows on the continent. Cee-Lo Green is set to play only one British show this year, with huge demand expected for tickets.
Backed by a full band, the show is set to be surrounded with hype as ‘F*ck You’ approaches release. Taking place on September 27th, tickets for the show will go on sale from 9am this Friday (September 17th).
